About Zenith

Dr. Arden Colonna is the founder and clinical director of Zenith Psychological Solutions. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and Los Angeles Superior Court appointed alienist who regularly conducts forensic, psycho-legal, and disability evaluations.

Dr. Colonna began his academic training at Syracuse University in upstate New York, where he graduated summa cum laude with degrees in both psychology and philosophy. He went on to earn his doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology—San Diego, graduating at the top of his class. He completed his predoctoral internship and postdoctoral training at Metropolitan State Hospital in Los Angeles, where he developed extensive experience working with individuals with serious mental illness in forensic hospital settings.

His assessment experience includes court-based evaluations and Social Security disability evaluations. He also conducts diagnostic, cognitive, and personality assessments to address complex clinical and functional questions. His academic training emphasized the empirical foundations of psychological assessment, and his doctoral research examined the relationship between personality pathology, trauma history, and substance use outcomes.

In addition to his private practice, Dr. Colonna maintains an appointment at Metropolitan State Hospital, where he serves as a unit psychologist. This ongoing role informs his understanding of serious mental illness, institutional treatment settings, and the interface between clinical care and the legal system.
